One of the latest trends in make up are lip stains. Since the Yves Saint Laurent Glossy Stains came out every brand took inspiration and made his own lip stains. Who makes the best dupe?
Out of my make up collection I took 3 different drugstore brand that in my opinion made their best to create a lip product that is a lipstick and a gloss and a stain as the same time, so that when the gloss and the lipcolor are gone, you still have that hint of color on your lips!

I am sure this line of lip laquers went out before the YSL ones, but still they're one of my favorites read my review here)! And the concept behind the product is the same of the Glossy Stains: gloss, lipstick and stain.
They are phenomenal! I love the wand, the range of color (even if in my country still there's a lack of the UK color range), the longevity, the formula...and the price also!
They will come in Velvet matte shades too, so if you are not a fan of glossy lips, just go for the matte side!
Maybe they're not the same thing of the french expensive brand, but they worth every penny!

Well, the packaging speaks for itself: they meant to make a dupe and they made it! I feel they are more on the moisture side than on the stain, at least on me they don't last that much. However they have a good selection of bright colors and dark colors. Not as many nudes as the YSL stains unfortunately. Hopefully they will increase their range!

This one is the closest dupe I found. From the packaging to the formula this deserves to be my number 1. Not as rich as the YSL Glossy Stain if we count the colors in the range, but the formula is as good as the pricey ones. And it lasts also for a very long time, leaving your lips a beautiful stain. The longevity made me decide which should be the number one dupe because when the gloss vanish the YSL Glossy Stain leaves this beautiful and natural hint of color that lasts for hours. It comes in handy when you're working or you're out for an event or a party and you don't have time or you can't leave for checking your make up. With this stain you are sure to look good even if the gloss has gone away. No striped or dry lips, just a natural hint of color.
